For 25 years, the Westend complex has been an iconic element of the capital. In Central and Eastern Europe’s first mixed-use real estate development, the 52,000-square-metre shopping center is accompanied by an ‘A’-category office building offering more than 17,000 square metres of leasable space, a beautiful 3-hectare rooftop garden built above the railway tracks of Nyugati Station, and Hungary’s first Crowne Plaza hotel.
The building—winner of numerous prestigious industry awards—has undergone significant transformation since its opening, yet thanks to its continually evolving offer and services, always adapting to new trends, it has consistently retained its status as Budapest’s most popular shopping center. Westend, visited by an average of 20 million people annually, is home to more than 400 shops in addition to around 50 food and beverage units.
Westend’s goal is to evolve beyond traditional retail functions and become an innovative, personalized, and sustainably operated experience hub, where the experience is defined by unlimited possibilities, methods, and conditions for shopping, a wide range of supplementary services, and diverse alternatives for community leisure.
